The municipality of Tiel, Werkzaak Rivierenland and UWV share one work environment as well as their public counters, efficiently providing the residents of the municipality with one point of contact and short communication lines between the services. A social and local approach determined the interior design and the materialisation of the offices. The design of the campus reflects Tiel's landscape and surrounding with colours derived from nature and the four seasons. Highlights in the overall colourful design are the unique hand-carved oak tables and hand-embroidered felt wall panels. These are made by woodworkers and craftsmen from the social workshops of Werkzaak Rivierenland. The tables and wall panels occupy a prominent position in the Stadhuis Campus' shared meeting spaces which are themed river landscape, fruit gardening and Betuwe. The office are lined with lamella with integrated signing. These lamella clad the cores, various meeting rooms and lockers, and are made of the old doors from the City Hall.

What started out as an inclusive social project to connect the organisations which are part of the city hall campus Tiel, resulted in a series of unique products that have found their way to several other projects.
Social workshop in Geldermalsen
Werkzaak Rivierenland links employers and jobseekers in the region. Besides working with local entrepeneurs and workshops they have their own workshop, office and training facility in Geldermalsen. Fokkema & Partners completely refurbished the building in Geldermalsen. During the design meetings the unique possibilities became evident when working with Werkzaak Rivierenland. This led to the integration of hand-carved oak tables, bright yellow tools-lamps and hand-embroidered felt wall panels into the interior. They are made by woodworkers and craftsmen from the social workshops.
Simultaneously, Fokkema was working on the design for the City Hall campus in Tiel, where the ideas originated and a similar array of handcrafted products were integrated.
