Why build bio-based?

Building bio-based means using materials that are derived from renewable biological resources, such as plants, rather than non-renewable resources like oil or gas.
There are several reasons why building bio-based is beneficial: Sustainability: Bio-based materials are sustainable because they come from renewable sources, which means they can be replenished over time. This reduces our reliance on non-renewable resources and helps to preserve the environment. Lower carbon footprint: Bio-based materials typically have a lower carbon footprint than traditional materials because they do not require the same amount of energy to produce. Additionally, many bio-based materials can be composted, which reduces waste and emissions. Health benefits: Bio-based materials are often free of toxic chemicals and can improve indoor air quality. This is especially important for people who suffer from allergies or respiratory issues. Economic benefits: Bio-based materials can provide economic benefits to local communities by supporting local agriculture and forestry industries. Additionally, as demand for bio-based materials increases, new jobs can be created in the manufacturing and production sectors. Overall, building bio-based is a way to support sustainability, reduce our environmental impact, and promote economic and social benefits; and that’s why we should build bio-based!
