When designing the “New Office”, the client was remarkably detailed and meticulous in their requirements. Every element, from the choice of furniture to the layout of the spaces, was discussed and executed with great precision and attention to detail. Above all the design should be personal. The office feels at home away from home. This resulted in an interior characterised by a mix of vintage elements and modern accents, with a strong emphasis on custom-made pieces. A warm, inviting atmosphere that reflects both the typical Brabant culture and the values of the organisation.

Vintage Design and Over-the-Top Accents

The office owner has a clear preference for vintage furniture and iconic designs, as evidenced by the carefully selected chairs, planters, and other decorative elements. The owner added his creative flair with playful, somewhat extravagant details. These surprising choices contribute to a dynamic and expressive work environment, still offering a sense of security and comfort.

A Personal Warm and Cozy Atmosphere

The client desired an office that feels like a second home, with plenty of space to relax and gather. The office features numerous seating areas that resemble a homely living room, complete with super comfortable chairs. Much attention has been given to social interaction and well-being, which is reflected in the presence of multiple pantries, meeting rooms, and even an especially designed prayer and nursing room. These spaces, combined with an abundance of greenery and natural materials, create an inviting and relaxed working atmosphere.

Customisation and Materials

Customization plays a crucial role in this project. The oak stud wall, glass system walls with rounded corners, and the stone veneer reception desk and pantries are just a few examples of the bespoke elements. The materials used were carefully selected to achieve a warm, natural look, with deep green tones and an emphasis on textures such as stud structures and textured wallpaper. This attention to detail and texture contributes to a rich sensory experience.

This project for the New Office illustrates how a precise alignment between the client and the design team can result in an office that is both functional and inspiring. It is a space where people feel welcome and valued, contributing to their well-being and productivity.
