The floor was reimagined as five distinct ‘neighbourhoods’, each with its own vibe, colour palette, and function. Like districts in a futuristic city. Winding ‘in-between zones’ connect these areas, offering moments of calm or surprise. The routing through these ‘neighbourhoods’ is intuitive yet playful, with peek-throughs that tease without revealing everything.
Reflection is the design’s main character, both literally and metaphorically. Coloured foils and grid patterns on glass echo digital aesthetics, while every detail mirrors AIHR’s identity. Sustainability plays a supporting role: glass panels from the previous tenant were repurposed as whiteboards, walls, and visual anchors. Old cabinets were wrapped and re-cast in new roles, proving that reuse can be both smart and stylish.

There’s no traditional reception here, just a welcoming restaurant with a host. Open workspaces are surrounded by zones for focus, collaboration, and serendipitous encounters. The ‘scenic routing’ turns every walk into a mini-tour, ending in a cinematic view over Rotterdam. AIHR’s new office isn’t just a workplace. It’s a film set in progress, where vibrant colours, digital dreams, and scale-up ambition come to life.
